When can I apply?

Our Expression of Interest (EOI) form opens on 22 August 2024. By completing this form you will be the first to hear about any updates on the volunteer programme including when applications open on the 1 October 2024.

Who can apply?

To volunteer at RWC 2025, you must be 18 years old on or before 01 April 2025 and have the right to work and volunteer in the UK (if you are a UK citizen, are seeking asylum or have the right to remain in the UK then you are eligible to volunteer).

We hope to welcome a variety of volunteers to our programme - from those who have never volunteered before, to those already involved.

I am not from the UK, can I still register my interest?

Yes, however we will not be able to support with visa applications or accommodation costs so please ensure you are eligble to volunteer in the UK and have somewhere to stay near your preferred venue before applying.

Do I need to be available for the whole tournament?

We require volunteers to be available for all match days at their venue or for a minimum of five shifts - whichever number is higher. Each venue will have its own operational period, more detail will be provided on this after the release of the Match Schedule in late October.

Dates already confirmed are as follows:

Opening match - 22 Aug 25 - Sunderland

Pool matches - across three weekends - Sunderland, Brighton and Hove, Exeter, Manchester,  Northampton, and York.

Quarter Finals - weekend of 13 Sept - Exeter & Bristol

Semi Finals - weekend of 19 Sept - Bristol

Final - 27 Sept 25 - Twickenham

When is the deadline to express my interest?

You can express interest in the RWC 2025 volunteer programme until 30 September 2024.

What will I need in order to apply?

The initial expression of interest form asks 10 quick questions to get to know you a little better. No additional documentation is required at this stage.

The full application form will be a more detailed application giving you the opportunity to tell us about your skills and experience as well as why you would like to volunteer for the RWC 2025.

Successful applicants will be notified in early 2025. After accepting, applicants will be required to complete a final registration stage where they will need to provide identification documents (e.g. passport/ driving licence).

I have made a mistake on my Expression of Interest form, what should I do?

That's okay – if you have made a mistake, please submit a new form with the correct information.

I have accessibility requirements, can I have additional support with my application?

Our Volunteer Management team will be happy to support anyone where possible to complete the application form. If you require support please email us at volunteer@england.rwc.rugby

English isn't my first language, can I still apply?

Yes! The official language of the tournament is English and we will require volunteers to be able to communicate in English, but this does not have to be your first language. We will have teams and delegates from across the world, so being able to speak additional languages will be beneficial in some roles. There is a section in the full application form where you can let us know any other languages you speak.
