How can I apply to be a volunteer?
Unfortunately applications have now closed for our volunteer programme. We hope you can find other exciting ways to be involved in this milestone moment for women’s rugby.
How do I log into my portal?
Once you have submitted your application form you can sign in to your portal at any time by going to the following link - Home | Women's RWC 2025 (tms.rugby). From here there should be a sign in button in the top right corner. All important updates about the volunteer programme will be posted here, so keep your username and password handy.
When will I find out if I've been successful?
Role offers will be sent in a staggered approach from the end of February through into March 2025.
I've seen others receive their offer, I haven't heard about mine?
Role offers are being sent in a staggered approach, so don't worry if you haven't heard back yet. Everyone who has submitted an application will hear from us by the end of March 2025.
I have accepted my role offer. What happens now?
Congratulations! We're excited to have you as part of Team25. We will be in touch soon with next steps relating to training in April. A brief timeline of upcoming events can be found on our website here.
I missed the deadline for accepting my offer, what can I do?
We kindly ask that volunteers accept their role offer within five days of receiving their role offer email. We received a high volume of applications for the Volunteer Programme so in order to offer the opportunity to others, unfortunately we won't be able to extend offers that have expired. You will however be added to our reserves bench so should another role become available we will let you know.
I've received my role offer but I didn't receive my first choice role or venue. What can I do?
We have done our best to match applicants with their first choice of venue and/or area. However, due to the high volume of truly exceptional applications, we may not be able to offer both your first choice venue and area preference.
I don't want to do the role I have been offered, can I change it?
When assigning roles we took into consideration your venue & area preferences, skills, availability and your responses to our questions. You are welcome to decline your offer but please note that we cannot guarantee you an alternative role and you will be placed on our reserves bench. Role offers will continue until all roles are filled so we will be in touch again if an alternative option comes up.
I've received my role offer, but I'm not sure what I'll be doing?
More information on what your role involves can be found in the 'Role Offer' section on the Volunteer Portal. Alternatively, you can view all of our role descriptions here. Before you start your role you will also receive lots of training and information on both your role and your venue so we will make sure you are fully prepared ready for your first shift.
Can I volunteer in two different roles, or two different host locations?
We want to offer as many people as possible an opportunity to be part of the tournament, so each individual will be assigned to one role and one venue.
I wish to withdraw my application, what do I do?
We understand circumstances change, if you are no longer able to volunteer with us please contact us at volunteer@england.rwc.rugby, or you can withdraw your application via the profile section of your volunteer portal.
Do I need to be available for the whole tournament?
We require volunteers to be available for all match days at their venue or for a minimum of five shifts - whichever number is higher. Please refer to the match schedule to check the required dates at your chosen venue and make sure you put the dates in your diary!
Can I be a volunteer and attend as a spectator?
Most shifts at each venue will take place on matchday. If you wish to attend as a spectator we suggest purchasing tickets for a venue you have not been offered a role at or, if you haven’t been offered a role yet, a venue you didn’t select as your 'preferred venue' on your application form.
Will I be able to watch the match at my venue?
As the majority of shifts are back of house, at the heart of all the action, there won’t be the opportunity to watch the match at your venue.
Will my expenses be covered?
Unfortunately, we are unable to cover travel, accommodation, or other expenses associated with the volunteer programme. All volunteers will receive a uniform, and catering will be provided on venue during shifts. We are still working with the local transport providers to understand travel options at tournament time, we will provide updated information when this is available.
