We are excited to open Expressions of Interest for our Volunteer Programme for the Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025). The programme will see us assemble eight incredible volunteer teams to support the tournament in each of our host locations:

  • Sunderland
  • Northampton
  • Exeter
  • Manchester
  • York
  • Brighton & Hove
  • Bristol
  • London

Our volunteers will be integral to welcoming fans and teams to our remarkable host locations and showcasing each of the unique cities and towns. There will be a variety of volunteer roles available across the tournament, covering customer service, sport, fan experience, broadcast & media, and event operations.

Who can apply to be a volunteer?

With an open and inclusive volunteering programme we look forward to welcoming individuals from all backgrounds.  Whether you are new to volunteering or volunteer regularly, and whether you are an avid rugby fan or are new to the sport, this will be a unique and exciting experience for everyone.

In order to be part of the volunteer programme, applicants need to be:

  • Aged 18+ by 1st April 2025
  • Eligible to volunteer in the UK
  • Available for all match-days at preferred location (please refer to our FAQs for more detail on dates)

Milestones

* Please Note: the majority of our roles will not require an interview and will go straight to the selection phase. For some of our specialist volunteer roles interviews will take place online in December 2024.

Choose our Volunteer Team Names

As we launch our Volunteer Programme for the Women’s RWC 2025, we want to celebrate the towns and cities that will host the 32 matches across the UK, by bringing a personal touch to the local volunteer teams. We are looking for eight different team names which reflect the character and personality of each host location. We want the team names to represent the local area and unite our local volunteers with a unique identity.

Tell us your ideas…
As the local representatives from our eight host locations we want to know from you what your town/city is famous for. This could be iconic landmarks, buildings, trades or specific historical moments etc. Get creative and give us your best puns!

Need some inspiration?
Scotland named their Commonwealth Games volunteers the Clyde-siders in 2014. In England previous volunteer names have included Gamesmakers, The Pack, The Collective and The Power Squad.

Let us know your suggestions on the Expression of Interest form here.
