World Rugby launches Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 Content Creator Programme

World Rugby has launched the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Content Creators Programme, offering an unparalleled opportunity for content creators from around the world to contribute to a record breaking and unmissable tournament.

Building on the successful content creator programme from Women’s Rugby World Cup 2021 in New Zealand, the initiative focuses on developing the next generation of talent within social and content, offering practical experience while creating a network for creators to share ideas and experiences.

The programme also aims to elevate the global profile of women’s rugby by embedding content creators throughout the tournament. These creators will document the players’ and teams’ journeys, from training sessions to match days, while also gaining access to exclusive behind-the-scenes content off the field.

A key feature of the initiative is its dedicated learning and development programme. Participants will engage in virtual sessions led by industry experts, equipping them with new skills, insights, and opportunities for professional growth through knowledge sharing.

World Rugby’s Chief of Women’s Rugby, Sally Horrox, said: “This exciting content creator programme, a key initiative in our Impact Beyond 2025 plan, represents an important step forward in our mission to grow and amplify women’s rugby on a global scale.

“By embedding these content creators across the tournament, we will not only elevate the visibility of the game but also cultivate diverse perspectives that will inspire fans around the world.

“This initiative is about nurturing new talent, celebrating the incredible stories within our sport and showcasing the Women’s Rugby World Cup like never before.”

Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Managing Director, Sarah Massey, said: “This programme offers an incredible opportunity for individuals to gain valuable skills, advance their careers and develop as content creators, offering hands-on experience while fostering their personal and professional growth.

“We know that there will be an abundance of compelling and powerful stories throughout the tournament and the content creators will play a fundamental role in bringing these stories to life to a worldwide audience.”
