Brazil reach all-time high in World Rugby Women's Rankings

As Yaras beat Colombia to qualify for Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 and reach their highest position of 39th in the world.

Brazil have moved up 12 places to 39th in the World Rugby Women's Rankings after their historic 34-13 victory over Colombia in the all-South American qualification play-off for Women's Rugby World Cup 2025.

As Yaras gained 2.82 points for the win and their new rating of 39.73 points put them at their highest-ever position since the rankings were introduced in 2016.

Colombia, meanwhile, have suffered a three-place fall to 29th with Trinidad and Tobago, Tonga and Belgium all moving up one.

Wales' 52-20 win over Spain in the WXV 2/3 2024 qualifier did not have any impact on the ratings of either country, with Wales remaining in eighth place and Las Leonas 13th.
