Travel & Transport

The Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 matches will be hosted across eight cities and venues spanning the length and breadth of England. The countrywide format makes it the most accessible Women’s Rugby World Cup ever with multiple options to get to each Host City.

Getting to the Tournament – Top tips

  • Plan and book ahead: Arrange your travel and accommodation as soon as possible. Consider sustainable travel options available in each host city, rather than driving to venues. Parking at match venues is extremely limited.

  • Book your transport: When travelling to host cities, whether it is by train, bus or coach, book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Most host cities have dedicated public transport services on match days to the stadiums. Please refer to the host cities and match venue

  • Pick up or download your travel tickets in advance: Please consider picking-up your travel tickets before match-day to avoid unnecessary queues at ticket machines on the day. Also ensure all e-tickets are downloaded to avoid delays.

  • Arrive early: If you are arriving in the host city on match day, please do so as early as possible to soak up the atmosphere at the stadium’s fan plaza. Don’t leave it too late to get to the match venue. Aim to arrive at the Stadium no later than 60 minutes before kick-off.

  • Stay longer and enjoy the local area: If you are travelling out of the host city after the match, consider arriving the day before or staying the night of the match and enjoy everything the city has to offer across the weekend. Further information can be found here. Also look to enjoy the local area around the stadium before heading back as travel could be less busy. Be sure to check the time of your chosen transport and don’t leave it until the last service of the day as others may do the same.

  • Head to a Fan zone: Remember there is a Fan zone in each host city. They will be a great way to spend time before and after each match. More information on the city Fan zones will follow soon.

  • Getting to the Host City: Please refer to the detailed information on getting to each host city and match venue

  • Safety and Security: When planning your trip, remember there are restrictions on what you can take into the match venue. Information is available separately for each match venue

  • Transport arrangements different to usual: If you are a regular visitor to the match venue, please keep in mind that transport arrangements may be different to usual – check before you travel to avoid disappointment

  • Spectator transport only available on match day: If travelling in the area on a non-match day remember that spectator specific transport such as shuttles buses and park & ride will not be available. Confirm what is available on match days at host cities and match venue

  • Travelling from outside the UK?: Please refer to the top tips for international visitors
  • Accessible Transport: If you have restricted mobility please refer to the detailed information on getting to each host city and match venue.
