Job Datings

By using rugby as a vector of inclusion and expression, the France 2023 organising committee, alongside with Ovale Citoyen association, is dedicated to act in favor of the professional insertion of more than 420 statutory refugees in France. 

These job datings sessions took place for the first time in Marseille, on the occasion of Rugby Africa Cup 2022 and continued during all of France 2023 ’s Rugby Tour stage (21 July - 12 November 2022), specifically in the Rugby Villages hosted by the competition’s host cities.

This project, carried by France 2023 and Ovale Citoyen, aims to reduce social division and use the practice of rugby in order to act in favor of professional insertion. The programme’s 423 beneficiaries, identified through the expertise of Ovale Citoyen’s partners, benefit from the network and offers provided by the ecosystem of all concerned parties.

During every step of this project, the statutory refugees are accompanied in order to prepare the job datings’ interviews. Times dedicated to rugby trainings are also organised to build social connections.

After France 2023 Rugby Tour, the France 2023 organisation committee and Ovale Citoyen will set up a « 2023 Job Fair » to continue their action and to extend the number of those who can benefit from this project.
