RWC 2021 - Standard Conditions of Entry
1. SCOPE
In order to ensure that all patrons attending events held at this venue are free to enjoy the entertainment in a safe and comfortable manner, and to protect the rights of our patrons, entry to this venue is subject to the following conditions of entry and regulations.
2. GENERAL RULES
2.1. This venue is a smoke- and vape-free environment. Smoking and vaping are not permitted. Patrons who choose to smoke or vape are asked to leave the venue, receive a ‘pass out’ and go to the permitted smoking/vaping area.
2.2. Footwear must be worn at all times.
2.3. Breathalysers may be used.
2.4. There is a liquor ban in the surrounding neighbourhoods during all events.
2.5. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
2.6. Patrons bring personal items into the venue at their own risk. The venue will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patron's personal property.
2.7. Patrons are not allowed on the playing area before, during or after Rugby World Cup Ltd events. Breach of this rule will result in eviction, and issue of trespass notice.
2.8. Proof of identity via photographic identification may be requested at any time. If identity cannot be verified, you may be denied access to the venue.
3. ENTRANCE
3.1. Patron and Bag Searches
a) Entrance to the venue shall only be authorised upon presentation of a valid ticket and/or accreditation for each individual person.
b) All patrons and their possessions may be subject to searches before entering the venue.
c) Metal detector wands may be used.
d) Searches may also be carried out during an event and when leaving the venue.
e) Patrons who refuse to participate in searches may be denied entry to the venue and asked to leave the venue.
f) All vehicles entering and leaving the venue may be searched.
g) Prohibited items will be confiscated.
3.2. The following items are allowed in the venue:
a) Empty water bottles (includes reusable steel bottles).
b) Small amounts of food for personal consumption.
c) Small chiller bag.
d) Umbrellas.
4. PROHIBITED ITEMS
4.1. The following items are prohibited and will not be permitted in the venue:
a) Alcohol not purchased at the Venue.
b) Animals or pets, with the exception of guide dogs.
c) Illicit drugs.
d) Drones.
e) Prams and strollers.
f) Furniture, including but not limited to stools and picnic chairs.
g) Gang patches, colours or gang paraphernalia.
h) Dangerous weapons, including but not limited to knives, tasers, mace, chains, spurs, studded jewellery.
i) Cans (including aerosol cans), glass bottles (including “perfume bottles”), any breakable container.
j) Commercially produced takeaway food such as McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Subway, pizza etc.
k) Patrons are welcome to bring small amounts of non-commercially produced food intended for the patron’s personal consumption.
l) Photographic, video or audio recording equipment for any purpose other than private non-commercial purposes, which may include, without limitation, video and/or audio recorders, camera tripods, monopods, lenses with a total focal strength of greater than 200mm and commercial digital video equipment. The Security staff will, at their sole discretion, determine whether or not an item is intended for personal or commercial use.
m) Selfie sticks.
n) Cameras and/or specialised photographic equipment intended for commercial use. The Event Management Staff will, at their sole discretion, determine whether or not an item is intended for personal or commercial use.
o) Sound amplifying devices including loudhailers, air horns or similar devices.
p) Skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or bikes.
q) Backpacks larger than 450mm high x 300mm deep x 300mm wide (approx. A3 size).
r) Flares, fireworks, laser pointers.
s) Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, or bicycles.
t) Musical instruments.
u) Signs or banners that are obscene, offensive or abusive.
v) Flag poles of more than one metre in length.
w) Any other item which the Event Management Staff (at their sole discretion) deems to be a prohibited item which may be a danger, or inconvenience, to any other patron.
4.2. Prohibited items will be confiscated and not returned.
5. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
5.1. Patrons may be refused entry to the venue if they:
a) Appear intoxicated/under the influence of drugs or exhibit disorderly behaviour.
b) Fail to comply with security or gate staff requests.
c) Attempt to bring in prohibited items.
d) Have been previously issued with a trespass notice that still applies.
e) Are not authorised to be in the venue. For example: have no valid entry ticket or accreditation pass.
f) They are conducting unauthorised promotional, marketing or advertising. It is forbidden to do any of the following inside the venue: sell goods or tickets, distribute material (including printed material) or any objects, or hold collections or carry out other promotional or commercial activities without prior written authorisation from RWCL.
g) Are unable to show proof of identity via photographic identification may be requested at any time.
h) Are unable to produce a valid ticket to the relevant match day.
5.2. Patrons will be asked to leave the venue if they:
a) Use obscene language.
b) Are verbally or physically abusive, or behave in a disorderly or offensive manner.
c) Are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs/narcotics.
d) Are carrying out unauthorised activities within the venue .
e) You have any prohibited item (see above) concealed on your person or in your possessions.
f) Attempt to ‘reserve’ general admission seats that are not being used and not releasing them when asked to do so by stewards.
g) Attempt to sit in seats that are not assigned to that patron and not moving when asked to do so by stewards.
h) You refuse to surrender any gang patches or other item requested.
i) You enter or attempt to pass over any crowd barrier or enter any prohibited area or restricted access area, including seats that are assigned to accredited persons.
j) You breach any other patrons human rights.
k) Throw items in the air or onto the pitch (including during Mexican waves).
l) Fail to comply with these policies.
5.3. Patrons are reminded that the right of admission expressly prohibits patrons from using, possessing or holding promotional or commercial objects and materials, engaging in any ambush marketing (or holding or bringing any items, objects, signs or materials which any stewards, security, safety personnel and/or any other persons legally authorised to take such steps at the venue believe are intended to be used for the purposes of ambush marketing), gambling (or assisting any gambling activity), conducting any commercial activity, offering (either for free or for sale), selling or possessing goods with intent to sell such as drinks, food, souvenirs, clothes, promotional and/or commercial items, without prior written approval of New Zealand Rugby and/or World Rugby. All such items may be removed or confiscated (temporarily or for destruction).
6. LIABILITY
Within the limits imposed by applicable laws, persons entering the venue acknowledge that they do so at their own risk and that they may be liable for damage or loss resulting from their actions in the venue.
7. SEVERABILTY AND AMENDMENTS
Should any provisions of the Conditions of Entry be declared void, ineffective or unenforceable by any competent court, the remainder of the Conditions of Entry shall remain in effect, as if those void, ineffective or unenforceable provisions had not existed.
8. APPLICABLE LAW
The Conditions of Entry shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
