The women’s Rugby World Cup needs you to bring the energy for our wāhine toa!
Presented By
We’re uniting the global rugby whānau through poi, a unique Māori taonga (treasure), with special significance to Aotearoa New Zealand. Join us in making poi, twirling poi in support of our rugby sisters and most importantly – keeping it tika (culturally correct). Let’s fill the stands with the unique sights and sounds of poi, the beating heart of Aotearoa New Zealand, sharing our unique Kiwi manaakitanga (hospitality) and Te Ao Māori with the world #itspoitime
How to make your own poi
Fans who are able to join us in stadium are requested to please bring a poi with you to tautoko the teams and share in this special moment for Aotearoa. Upcycle, recycle and DIY it. Get creative with your whanau and make your own poi
If you’re watching from home, pick up your poi and cheer on the teams with poi rere and poi paki! If you want to join us in stadium and really make some noise, check out our tournament match schedule and get tickets here
Keeping it Tika
Your poi are a taonga (treasure). It’s important to treat them with respect and look after them to protect your wairua (wellbeing).
